Research on math anxiety and math performance shows that self-efficacy is just as important as the skills themselves. In all my sessions, I aim to show students that they can be a “math person” despite any preconceived notions.

I have direct classroom experience teaching many high school mathematics courses as well as elementary courses. Having this innate knowledge of the curriculum allows me to prepare students for what they will see in class!

For me, tutoring is not just about the content, but how the content is conveyed. After every session, I reflect on how I can better explain a concept, demonstrate an application, or tie an example. I am always looking at new pedagogical approaches and love to learn just as much as I love to teach!
